Rachel blames X Factor editors

Wronged Rachel Adedeji has spoken out over her the travesty that was her exit from The X Factor on Saturday, blaming producers for not bigging up her back story enough.

"Viewers didn't know who I was to begin with, whereas other contestants, like Stacey and Lucie, have back stories,” she said. “I have one, but it wasn't broadcast as much as the others.”

"They knew Stacey was from Dagenham and Lucie was from her village in Wales but no one knew anything about me.”

She added: "It never got to me, because I came to sing, and I thought people just voted on our performances. But it shows it is not just about singing."

And even though she’s out, Rachel still has the memories of Whitney Houston’s praise to keep her spirits up. "Whenever I think about Whitney's kind words about me it just makes me smile,” she said. “Seriously I don't really care what the public think – Whitney knows, man!

"If it's not meant to be it's not meant to be. I've had fun. I'm just going to keep singing – I was born to sing, so any opportunity that comes my way I'm just going to take it."

Good luck to her.
